Vector artwork remains sharp when resized. Convert fonts to outlines where possible and embed any linked images.
Artwork guidelines
How to get the sharpest version of your logo on a Sharpie.
Upload the original logo file whenever possible. If you only have a less suitable file, send the best version available; we always check whether it can be used before production.
PNG, JPG, JPEG or WEBP
Use the largest original file, preferably 300 dpi at final size. A transparent PNG usually works better than an image with a white background.
Maximum 10 MB
The configurator accepts SVG, PDF, AI, EPS, PNG, JPG, JPEG and WEBP. All these file formats can be used for your request and final mockup.
Online preview: SVG, PNG, JPG, JPEG and WEBP are displayed immediately. PDF, AI and EPS files are converted automatically for the 2D and 3D views after selection. The original source file is retained for artwork review and the final mockup.
Colour and printing
Make the intended result clear.
An imprint colour is not required when submitting a request. If a particular colour matters, enter its name and optionally a PMS reference. Available options vary by Sharpie and the configurator automatically applies the relevant limits.
Number of print colours
Select the number of colours in your logo. Additional print colours are included in the price calculation. Metallic supports a maximum of one print colour.
PMS colour matching
For a one-off €45 fee, a specified PMS colour can be matched as closely as reasonably possible. Material, substrate, ink and printing process can always cause a limited colour variation.
Double-sided placement
Where supported, the same logo can be positioned evenly on two opposite sides at no extra charge. The configurator only shows this option when it is available.
Best avoided
These files are more likely to cause problems.
- Screenshots, email-signature images or files taken from social media.
- Small, blurred or heavily compressed images.
- A white background when the logo needs to be printed without a background.
- Very thin lines, very small text or fine details that disappear when reduced.
- Artwork with part of the logo cropped outside the image.
After uploading
Review first, production second.
The online mockup and any 3D preview help assess placement and proportions, but they are not the final production proof. You receive a final mockup for approval before production.
Artwork review
We check legibility, quality, colours and suitability for the available printable area.
Final mockup
You receive the final placement and execution for review. If an adjustment is needed, a revised version is prepared first.
Your approval
Production starts only after the final mockup has been approved in writing and payment has been received.
