CustomMarkers.eu uses necessary cookies and temporary browser storage for language selection, forms, security and the configurator. The Meta Pixel is loaded only after you explicitly accept advertising and measurement.
Cookies are small text files that a website can store on a computer, phone or tablet and read during a later request. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, can temporarily store information on the device.
We only use these technologies where they are needed to make a feature selected by the visitor work properly and securely.
site_locale — functional preference cookie. It stores whether Dutch or English was selected so that the correct language can be opened. It is a first-party CustomMarkers cookie, is not accessible to JavaScript, uses SameSite=Lax and is retained for up to one year.
custommarkers-session — functional security cookie. It links consecutive page requests and protected form actions to the same temporary session. The cookie is HttpOnly, uses SameSite=Lax and expires by default after no more than 120 minutes of inactivity.
Forms also contain a temporary security token that protects against unwanted requests from other websites. This token is not used to track visitors.
cm_cookie_consent — first-party functional preference cookie. It stores the accepted or rejected categories and the displayed consent version for up to 180 days.
The configurator uses sessionStorage to temporarily retain entered fields and the current step. This prevents choices from being lost immediately while navigating within the configurator. The information remains on the device and is normally removed when the relevant browser tab or session ends.
After the contact step, a secure draft may be stored on the server. This is not a cookie or browser storage. The draft receives a personal resume link and is retained for no more than eight days after the last activity in accordance with the privacy statement.
If you accept advertising and measurement, the website loads the Meta Pixel. Meta may then process the visited page, browser and device data, IP address, cookie identifiers and limited interaction or conversion data to measure results and make advertising more relevant. Meta is an external provider and may combine data under its own privacy policy.
The platform may keep privacy-friendly aggregate local counts, for example how often a product page or configurator step is used. These counts do not use cookies, personal identifiers or session identifiers and are not intended to recognise individual visitors.
Without consent, the Meta Pixel is not loaded and the website remains fully usable. CustomMarkers does not send form contents, logos, addresses, email addresses or telephone numbers to Meta through the Pixel.
On your first visit, you can accept or reject advertising and measurement or set preferences separately. Accept and reject are presented equally clearly and the optional choice is not preselected.
You can reopen your choice at any time through Cookie preferences at the bottom of every public page. Withdrawing is therefore as easy as giving consent. Necessary cookies remain active because the website cannot work securely or correctly without them.
Through Cookie preferences at the bottom of the website, you can later allow or disable the Meta Pixel. You can also view, remove or block cookies and browser storage through your browser settings.
Blocking functional cookies may prevent the language selection, forms, configurator or personal resume link from working correctly.
After important technical changes, we run a technical cookie scan. We update this policy whenever the website starts using different cookies, browser storage or external services.
